Wabi Sabi (Beauty from Imperfection) is the life philosophy that inspired our collection; it emerged in 16th-century Japan and emphasises the perfection found in flaws. Because it embraces ways of living such as simplicity and harmony with nature, natural colours are preferred in the products of collections influenced by wabi-sabi. Wabi represents qualities such as simplicity and naturalness, while Sabi reflects the beauty that passing time adds and the embrace of the flaws that appear through that progression; this philosophy is born from the balanced harmony of the two concepts. For strong colours and elegant presentations, Sabi reflects the perfection of life's imperfections with colours drawn from nature, each piece crafted with its own special handwork and its own distinct pattern, bringing a different approach to your tables by highlighting the beauty that comes from imperfection in the pattern variations arising from handcrafting. Wabi Sabi affirms that everything imperfect is more aesthetic and beautiful, reflecting with the natural colours used an elegance born of simplicity.
