Handrail Guide Shoe, Horn Type

An original AKE horn-type guide shoe used in the handrail band assembly of an escalator or moving walk. Its curved profile steadies the handrail as it enters and runs along the balustrade, keeping the band on track and reducing vibration, rubbing and noise. The shoe is replaced during maintenance once the contact surface shows significant wear.
